This workshop is presented by the Polaris Young Adult Leadership Network at Princeton Theological Seminary and led by Eddie Olewinski, who served as one of the network’s inaugural advisors. Eddie is a graduate student at Georgetown University specializing in National Security and Emergency Management. With extensive experience in emergency management at various levels, Eddie employs a whole-community approach, driven by Christian virtues and a dedication to service. Eddie’s work focuses on preventing domestic terrorism, violent extremism, and radicalization among young adults, and he co-founded "Talk With Me: Debate to Deflate Hate," an initiative combating misinformation and hate speech through debate skills training for educators and community leaders nationwide.

He completed the George Washington University Homeland Security Program and earned a BA and BS from DePaul University, where he studied political science, and Catholic studies. Eddie has extensive experience in emergency management at the local, county, and state levels, with a focus on a whole community approach. Guided by Christian virtues and a dedication to serving others, he is committed to fostering resilience and hope in his community. His work centers on preventing domestic terrorism, violent extremism, and radicalization among young adults. Eddie is also the co-founder of "Talk With Me: Debate to Deflate Hate," a community initiative that combats misinformation and hate speech by teaching debate skills to educators, student mentors, and community leaders nationwide.
