About Allen Hilton

Rev. Dr. Allen R. Hilton is the Executive Director of House United, a non-profit initiative he founded in 2016 to address political and theological polarization by promoting collaboration and community building. With degrees from George Fox College (B.A.), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div.), and Yale University (Ph.D.), Dr. Hilton has taught at St. Mary’s College of California and Yale Divinity School. An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, he has served various churches across the U.S. In addition to his role with House United, Dr. Hilton currently serves as the Director of the Institute for Missional Formation at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX, where he lives with his wife Liz, their sons Sam and Isaac, and their labradoodle, Watson.
